A Calm Yoga and Pilates Studio in Glasgow’s East End

Meridian Yoga and Pilates® is located within a former carpet factory in Glasgow’s East End, a unique space full of character, history, and creative energy.

Based within Crownpoint Studios, a vibrant hub for artists, makers, and creative businesses, our studio sits at the heart of the East End, perfectly positioned between Bridgeton and Dennistoun. With excellent transport links, Meridian is easily accessible from across Glasgow and the surrounding areas.

We have two dedicated studio spaces on site, each with its own distinct atmosphere and personality, offering the perfect setting for everything from energising movement practices to calming, restorative experiences.

Yang Studio

Our main studio, the Yang Studio, is a bright, south-facing space with large windows that flood the room with natural light. Calm, welcoming, and spacious, it's designed to help you settle the moment you arrive.

Many of our members comment on how beautiful the studio feels on blue-sky days, enjoying the view through the windows as they move, breathe, and practise. To bring that same sense of nature indoors, our studio owner, Michelle, has filled the space with an abundance of beautiful plants, creating a peaceful, restorative environment where you can leave the distractions of the day behind.

Yin Studio

Classes in the Yin Studio are limited to just eight participants, creating a more personalised and intimate experience where you'll receive plenty of individual guidance and support throughout your practice.

Both of our studios are fully equipped with high-quality props, including bolsters, blocks, straps, cosy blankets, and lavender eye pillows, ensuring you feel comfortable, supported, and able to make the most of every class.

Location

Meridian Yoga and Pilates Studio is a short walk from Glasgow Green and close to People’s Palace, making it easy to combine your visit with time outdoors or exploring the local area.

Our yoga and Pilates studio is around a 15-minute walk from The Barras, and is well placed for those travelling from Dalmarnock, Rutherglen, the wider East End, and the eastern parts of Glasgow’s Southside.

Meridian also sits within easy reach of Duke Street, known for its independent cafés and local eateries –– ideal if you’d like to take your time and enjoy something to eat or drink after class. Nearby, Alexandra Park offers green open space for a walk, while Bridgeton is home to Glasgow Women's Library.

If you’re visiting during busy times at Celtic Park, we recommend allowing a little extra time for travel, as the area can become more congested.

Access, Parking & Practical Information

We offer free on-street parking directly outside the building, along with secure bike parking, making it simple to arrive without stress.

The studio is just a five-minute walk from Bridgeton and Belgrove train stations, and is well connected to local bus routes as well as the M74 and M8.

The building has lift access, and adapted mixed gender toilets on site. If you require lift access, please contact us before your class and we can guide you on how to enter the back of the building.

If you need any adjustments ahead of your visit, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We’re always happy to support you.
