A Calm Space in Glasgow’s East End

Main studio at our Glasgow East End yoga and Pilates studio, set up with mats and props ready for a class

Our Studios

Meridian Yoga and Pilates® is located in former carpet factory in Glasgow’s East End, which is full of character.

Our main space, the Yang Studio, is bright and airy with large south-facing windows that flood the room with natural light throughout the day. Despite its openness, the space feels warm and calm, lending itself just as well to soft, candlelit classes during the darker months.

There’s a sense of reassurance as soon as you walk through the door. Many of our students comment on how lovely it feels to pause and look out at the sky, watching the clouds drift past. If you know Michelle, our studio owner, you’ll know she has a love of plants — and we’ve brought a little bit of nature indoors to help create a space that feels soothing and settled.

We also have a smaller, more intimate space, the Yin Studio. With soft, dimmable lighting, it’s used for private sessions, smaller classes and training events.

Classes in the Yin Studio are limited to eight spots, to give a more personalised and intimate experience. Both studios are fully equipped with props, including lavender eye pillows and cosy blankets to support your practice.

Location and Getting Here

Meridian operates from Crownpoint Studios, a vibrant hub for creative businesses and artists in the heart of Glasgow’s East End. Situated between Bridgeton and Dennistoun, the studio is easy to reach from across the city and surrounding areas.

We’re just a short walk from Glasgow Green and close to People’s Palace, making it easy to combine your visit with time outdoors or exploring the local area.

Our yoga and Pilates studio is around a 15-minute walk from The Barras, and is well placed for those travelling from Dalmarnock, Rutherglen, the wider East End, and the eastern parts of Glasgow’s Southside.

Meridian also sits within easy reach of Duke Street, known for its independent cafés and local eateries –– ideal if you’d like to take your time and enjoy something to eat or drink after class. Nearby, Alexandra Park offers green open space for a walk, while Bridgeton is home to Glasgow Women's Library.

If you’re visiting during busy times at Celtic Park, we recommend allowing a little extra time for travel, as the area can become more congested.

Access, Parking & Practical Information

We offer free on-street parking directly outside the building, along with secure bike parking, making it simple to arrive without stress.

The studio is just a five-minute walk from Bridgeton and Belgrove train stations, and is well connected to local bus routes as well as the M74 and M8.

The building has lift access, and adapted mixed gender toilets on site. If you require lift access, please contact us before your class and we can guide you on how to enter the back of the building.

If you need any adjustments ahead of your visit, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We’re always happy to support you.
