Reiki Glasgow East End

Michelle Lang, Reiki Master in Glasgow, burning sage to prepare for a Reiki session

Reiki with Michelle Lang

Hello, I’m Michelle. I’m trained to Reiki Master level and have been offering Reiki treatments for over 12 years.

My own interest in the chakras, energy and the benefits I experienced through receiving Reiki led me to train in Reiki Levels 1, 2 and 3 with Lee-Anne Erskine Seery from The Wellbeing Hub.

Over the years, Reiki has become a beautiful part of my own wellbeing practice, and I love creating a calm, nurturing space where people can pause, breathe and find a deeper connection within themselves.

I’m based at Meridian Yoga & Pilates in the East End of Glasgow, where I offer Reiki treatments in a warm, peaceful environment away from the busyness of everyday life.

So, what is Reiki?

Reiki means “universal life energy” and is a Japanese form of complementary energy healing, founded by Dr Mikao Usui in the early 20th century.

During a Reiki treatment, I use a light touch or work just above the body, allowing the session to be guided by what feels right in the moment. Reiki is traditionally understood as working with the body's energy, including the seven main chakras — the energy centres associated with different aspects of our physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.

Life can leave us feeling depleted, overwhelmed or disconnected from ourselves. Stress, busy schedules, poor sleep and not having enough time to pause can all affect how we feel in our bodies and minds.

A Reiki treatment in Glasgow offers an opportunity to slow down and create some space for yourself. Many people describe feeling deeply relaxed, peaceful and restored after a treatment, while others experience a sense of emotional release or simply enjoy having dedicated time to rest and reconnect.

For me, Reiki is about creating a safe and nurturing space where you can step away from the demands of everyday life and give yourself permission to simply stop, breathe and receive.

There is also emerging research into Reiki and its potential benefits for wellbeing. Some studies have found positive effects in areas such as pain, anxiety, mood and quality of life. However, research is still developing and Reiki should be viewed as a complementary practice rather than a medical treatment.

Reiki is not a replacement for conventional medical care or treatment. If you have a medical concern, please always speak with your GP or appropriate healthcare professional.

Whether you're completely new to Reiki or have received energy healing before, you're very welcome.

Most importantly, Reiki is an invitation to pause.

To breathe.

To rest.

And to give yourself a little time and space to simply be.

I look forward to welcoming you for Reiki in the East End of Glasgow.
